4. Wissenschaftlicher Kongress der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Essstörungen e. V. (DGESS)
Deutsche Gesellschaft für Essstörungen e. V.
20.03. - 22.03.2014, Leipzig
Welcome
Dear Congress Participants,
I am pleased to welcome you to the 4th Scientific Congress of the German Society for Eating Disorders in Leipzig. The congress will explore this year’s theme, "Eating Disorders Across the Life Span" and approaches to managing these disorders at different ages. Nationally and internationally recognized experts will present biopsychosocial principles and evidence-based approaches to the treatment and prevention of eating disorders from infanthood into late adulthood. For the first time this year, it will be possible, within the DGESS-Congress framework, to complete a course on guideline-supported psychotherapy of eating disorders and to become officially certified through DGESS. Numerous other workshops will shed light on therapeutic management of important aspects of eating disorders.
Dear guests, I trust that, together, we will have a successful congress, with lively academic exchanges during presentations, workshops, and symposia as well as an entertaining social evening at the Congress' Festival in the Leipzig Museum of Fine Arts!
Yours sincerely,
Anja Hilbert
